This specialised, non hormonal, Hyaluronic Acid Injectable treatment for intimate areas is designed to treat Vulvovaginal Atrophy (VVA). Vulvovaginal Atrophy is a core component of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM). This chronic condition stems from a drop in oestrogen levels as women age. This hormonal decline thins, dries, and inflames the vulval and vaginal tissues.
This condition affects at least 50% of post-menopausal women. Despite high prevalence, many women suffer in silence and do not seek medical help. Target Area: The advanced, high-concentration (3.2%) hyaluronic acid solution, developed using IBSA's advanced NAHYCO® Hybrid Technology, is administered via precise, intradermal injections directly into the vulvar vestibule (the tissue immediately surrounding the vaginal opening), using a very fine needle.

Comfort Measures: A topical anaesthetic cream is usually applied 20 to 30 minutes before the procedure, sometimes followed by a local anaesthetic, to ensure the process is virtually painless.

Treatment Schedule: The standard protocol consists of 2 injection sessions spaced one month apart, followed by a clinical reassessment after 6 months.

Maintenance: Many patients opt for a single maintenance session every 6 to 12 months to preserve their results, helping them avoid having to apply daily creams to relieve their Vulvovaginal Atrophy symptoms.

What to know about Hyaluxelle treatments
How do you treat with Hyaluxelle and how quickly will I see results?
A consultation is always held to understand your concerns and discuss best management for you.
On the day of treatment, local anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment (30 minutes) to minimise any pain.
The area is then cleansed and small injections, using a very fine needle, are placed into the vulvar vestibule tissue (the tissue immediately surrounding the vaginal opening).
The treatment takes 20 - 30 minutes to complete.
You might see small marks, swelling or bruising at the injection site, but this should normally subside within a day or so.
While some patients notice an improvement in tissue hydration within the first two weeks, optimal results are achieved after the second session as the tissue undergoes deep repair.
How many treatments will I need and are there side effects?
We recommend a treatment regime of 2 sessions, held 1 month apart, followed by a clinical reassessment after 6 months, in order to achieve the best results.
Maintenance treatments would be suggested once every 4 months or two regimes a year, to ensure you continue to maintain symptom relief.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the human body, making it highly biocompatible. You may experience mild redness, slight swelling, or minor bruising at the injection site, which typically resolves on its own within a few days.
Will I need any downtime and is the treatment painful?
After receiving your Hyaluxelle treatment, you can continue with the majority of your normal daily activities. However, we recommend that you avoid sexual activity for 24 to 72 hours. We also recommend that you avoid tampons, hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for a few days, as well as intense exercise. We will give you more information during your consultation.
No it is not painful. We apply a highly effective local anaesthetic cream before starting. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild pressure or a slight pinch, rather than pain.
Can Hyaluxelle be used for Labia Rejuvenation?
While it does not physically alter or augment the shape of the labia majora like a traditional structural filler, it acts beneath the surface to intensively rehydrate skin cells. By repairing thinning tissue and restoring natural resilience to the vulvar region, it provides an excellent solution for reviving the comfort, flexibility, and vitality of fragile labial skin.
